Mental Security Prison

Start > Crime roleplay > Prison – Introduction > Mental Security Prison

This is our standard mental prison role-play option. A guarded prison

A mental prison, or psychiatric prison unit, is a specialized section within a prison or a separate facility designed to handle inmates who suffer from mental health disorders. These individuals may have committed criminal acts due to their mental health issues and are placed in such facilities to receive treatment while serving their sentences. While the conditions and rules can vary, there are some common features in these units.

In our prison, this means you will be locked in a padded cell for most of the time, with handcuffs and shackles on. Alternatively, a straitjacket may be used if available. Please remember that the straitjacket must be able to be controlled by the staff.

The unit has a small prison yard, a gym, a canteen, and a shower. As an inmate, you will rely on staff to access these activities. The prison uniform here is red.

You will be wearing jailkeeper that keeps track of your severed time.

Prison Rules and Conditions:

  1. Minimum Login Requirement:
You must be logged in for a minimum of 10 minutes each month. (A month runs from the first to the last day of the calendar month.)
Failure to meet this requirement will result in your expulsion from the prison, and you will have to start over.
  2. Punishment and Sentence Duration:
Your sentence is measured in real days. However, your progress is only recorded on days when you are logged in.
For example, if you’re sentenced to 50 days, you must log in for 50 separate days, even if they aren’t consecutive, in order to complete your sentence.
    • If you log in for 3 consecutive days, that counts as 3 days served.
    • If you then miss the 4th day and log in again on the 5th day, you will have served 4 days in total.
  3. Returning the Jail Keeper Title:
Upon your release or expulsion, you must return the jail keeper title.
If you fail to return it, you will be required to pay for the license.
  4. Required Items:
At all times, you must wear MSM cuffs, the RLV relay, and the jail keeper title.
  5. Prison Type:
This is a non-sexual prison environment.
  6. Relocation During SIM Restart:
If you are relocated during a SIM restart, this will not be considered an escape attempt as long as you remain near the prison gate until a staff member locks you back in.
  7. Cheating Policy:
Cheating is strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban. The following actions are considered cheating:
    • Escaping when it is not physically possible or not part of an agreed roleplay scenario.
    • Turning off RLV to teleport to other SIMs (we will be notified if you do this).
    • Disabling RLV is only allowed with prior permission from a staff member.
  8. Important:
It is mandatory to use a viewer that supports RLV scripts, such as Firestorm. The standard Second Life viewer will not work. Additionally, you must have RLV scripts enabled.
For instructions on how to enable RLV scripts in Firestorm, please refer to the following guide: How to enable RLV scripts in Firestorm
